Ryan Whitson
Ryan has been tattooing in Charlottesville since 2009. In 2020, he decided it was time to open his own studio with his business partner and fellow tattooist Wes Helberg, and Spitfire Tattoo and Gallery was born. Ryan specializes in color tattooing ranging from traditional, neo-traditional, color realism and comic book styles. Ryan loves making his clients ideas come to life and strives to give them his best work every day.

A graduate of the University of Virginia and longtime Charlottesville small business owner, Wes has worked in the tattoo and piercing industry since 2003. He is well-versed in all styles of tattooing, with a specialized focus on black-and-grey fine line work, and bold traditional classics.
