Ryan Whitson
Ryan has been tattooing in Charlottesville since 2009. In 2020, he decided it was time to open his own studio, and Spitfire Tattoo and Gallery was born. Ryan specializes in color tattooing ranging from traditional, neo-traditional, color realism and comic book styles. Ryan loves making his clients ideas come to life and strives to give them his best work every day.
Alaina Bingler
After graduating with a degree in studio art Alaina transitioned her background in oil painting to the tattoo medium, where she continues to develop her distinctive style.
Alaina has focused on refining her skills in fine line, illustrative, and Neo-traditional techniques. Her favorite subject matter to tattoo includes insects, moths, florals, and animal portraits.
As she builds her clientele, Alaina remains committed to creating thoughtful, personalized art that honors both her classical training and each client’s unique vision.

Jesse Vardaro has been tattooing in the Richmond area for over two decades and is excited to now find himself in beautiful Charlottesville. He specializes in black and gray realism and portraiture but enjoys the unique challenges of other styles.
